Everyone loves the Silkies! Children (and adults!) are just drawn to them here on the farm! What’s not to love?! They are mini, fluffy, friendly little packages of love. The Silkies are, by far, the friendliest (and cutest!) breed of chicken we have ever had. They really are the lap-dog of the poultry world.
We selectively breed our Silkies for friendliness and fluffiness! We select only our EXTRA fluffy birds to be breeders. They are SO fluffy that we call them “Super-Fluff Silkies”! These are definitely not your run-of-the-mill Silkie!
We currently offer Blue, Black, and Splash colors… you will get an assortment with your order. They lay a delightful small, cream-colored egg, they make excellent mothers (they will hatch anything you put under them!), and here on the farm, we have been known to put bows in their “hair” and invite them inside our house for a cuddle.
